Each year we offer two recitals, Spring and Winter, for all of our students in private lessons to showcase their progress in their instrument. Each recital event has always been a fun and exciting time for students to gain valuable experience performing in a friendly and encouraging environment. Complete with free snacks, a photo booth, and activities for children, these recitals are something to look forward to! Contact us to learn more about recitals and other events we have in the works!
Got a Question?
We offer lessons for a variety of instruments such as: Piano, Guitar, Bass, Ukulele, Violin, Cello, Mandolin, Drums, Saxophone, Trumpet, Flute, Harmonica, and more!
If you have a question about a specific instrument not listed, feel free to give us a call and we will assist you the best we can!
In general, we have lesson times available as early as 9am to as late as 8pm on Mondays through Saturdays. Once you complete the Lesson Inquiry Form, we will contact you with the open lesson times that best match the availability that you provided in the form. Lesson availability is also dependent on the teacher and the instrument that you are interested in.
We offer lessons for students 4 years old and up! Whether you are young or young at heart, we would be so happy to teach you!
For students who are 4 to 5 years old who are seeking private lessons, we use the following assessment to determine readiness:
Do they know their ABC’s?
Are they able to follow directions?
Will they be able to focus for the length of their lessons?
If you can answer yes to all three questions, then your student may be ready for music lessons! If you answered no to one or more questions, then it may be best to wait a few months. We would be happy to teach your student once they are ready!
Please bring your instrument (with the exception of drums and piano) as well as any lesson books or sheet music that you are using with your teacher. Our practice rooms are all equipped with a piano or keyboard.
While we do not sell or rent out instruments to take home, we do have limited instruments available for a student to borrow during their lessons such as drums, keyboards, guitars, violins, and ukuleles. We highly recommend finding your own instrument sooner than later so that you can start practicing at home!
Your teacher may request you to purchase a curriculum book and will provide you with the link to purchase it. Currently, we do not sell or rent any curriculum books but if you have trouble purchasing one in time for your lesson then your teacher can provide you some temporary solutions.
We do offer a few discounted rates for specific situations. Contact us directly to learn more about available discounts and if you qualify.
When a student first registers with us, we send a welcome email with your teacher’s contact information.
If you need to cancel or reschedule just a single lesson, you can reach out to your teacher (with at least 24 hours notice) and they will help find a time to make-up the lesson.
For any ongoing schedule changes, please contact Studio Administration at admin@musicinstitute.com and we’ll help you find a new lesson time.
You are eligible for a make-up lesson as long as you cancel at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled lesson. To cancel a lesson you must reach out to your teacher with the contact information provided in your welcome email.
Makeup lessons may be offered in extraordinary circumstances such as illness or emergency on a case by case basis. We do not provide make-up lessons for no-shows.
Make-up lessons are valid for 90 days. Students may not accrue more than 4 unscheduled make-up lessons at a time.
You can review our Holiday Closures policy in your signed student agreement or on our website by clicking here. In summary, payment is month to month. Some months have an additional fifth lesson while other months may have three lessons due to being closed for a holiday. To avoid billing confusion, we charge our students a flat rate averaging four lessons per month. Students can find our posted calendar for listed holiday closures here: Holiday Calendar
For Group Classes, we will always factor in holidays when determining the price for the class.
